A Brief Overview

Responsible for the complete and accurate registration of all patients in an orderly, expeditious and pleasant manner. Employee must have in-depth knowledge of insurance verification policies and procedures. Has understanding of computer terminals and printers in order to perform daily functions

What you will do

• Promptly answers, screens and processes insurance authorizations and telephone inquiries with strict adherence to confidentially agreements policies and procedures.
• Provides Patients information on Holy Name Medical Center patient programs, policies and procedures.
• Collects and enters all Patient insurance information, into the appropriate medical service software to complete patient record. Collection includes validation of active insurance and ensuring all precertification documents are on file prior to Patient receiving service. Documentation is to be concise, thorough and accurate.
• Financial Navigator is responsible for determining Patient benefit coverage and Patient notification of any financial responsibility, prior to Patient receiving service. This includes follow up of all self-insured and underinsured Patients.
• Financial Navigator is also responsible for transition of patient to Financial Counseling Department.
• Meets outlined Holy Name Medical Center benchmarks and / or quality indicators as monitored through audits or recordings.
• Supports organizational changes. Demonstrates professionalism and flexibility in providing coverage and / or availability for the Call Center via scheduling adjustments for unexpected absences, events or call volume variances.

If you are hired at Holy Name, your final base compensation will be determined based on factors such as employment status (Full / Part-Time or Per Diem) skills, education, and / or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Pay Range : $18.00 / hour - $24.00 / hour
