A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist-Remote.
Key Responsibilities
Review and ensure the integrity and accuracy of clinical documentation in medical records
Provide education and consultation to healthcare team members regarding documentation requirements
Conduct concurrent reviews and communicate discrepancies to physicians to improve documentation quality
Required Qualifications
Associate / Diploma Degree in Nursing or a degree in Health Information Management with relevant credentials
Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio or relevant health information certification
Minimum of 5 years of acute care medical or surgical experience
Experience in ICD-10 coding conventions and DRG methodology preferred
Utilization / Case Management experience is a plus
