Murdock Auto Team is seeking a social media director to lead social strategy, content, development and execution. This is a full-time hybrid role, in Salt Lake City. You will own the day-to-day operations of the client social media ecosystem, run paid and organic campaigns, support content production, manage community engagement, present strategy and marketing results in weekly marketing meetings and play a critical role for the social presence of the client brands, across the automotive retail space.
Key Responsibilities :
- Own and manage the client social presence across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, Snapchat, X
- Lead strategy execution of social media for multiple client brands across the automotive retail space. Develop content, calendars, write copy and collaboration with our creative and strategy teams.
- Source and curate content, including briefing internal team to external trainers to ensure alignment with brand tone and objectives.
- Plan and schedule posts using Meta or a business suite and other polishing tools.
- Run and optimize paid social campaigns across Meta platforms
- Oversee, influencer and creative partnerships,
- Manage community engagement, including timely responses to inbound messages and proactive outreach to relevant accounts for growth and brand visibility.
- Track, analyze, and report on performance metrics, turning insights into actionable optimizations.
- Conduct brand audits and competitive reviews to inform client strategy.
- Collaborate with client-side, creative teams, including art directors and in-house designers to develop bespoke assets for social campaigns.
- Stay up to date on platform updates, tools, and contact trends, integrating new approaches where relevant.
- Contribute to internal process improvement and support onboarding or mentorship of junior team members as needed.
