Laboratory Assistant

We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join IQVIAs laboratory businessat Valencia CA.

Shift : Monday - Friday 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM

Support laboratory operations by assisting senior staff with routine procedures specimen handling and maintaining a clean and organized lab environment.

What Youll Be Doing :

Provide administrative and technical support to laboratory staff

Wash dry distribute and store laboratory glassware such as test tubes beakers flasks and cylinders

Maintain cleanliness of work areas including disinfecting benches equipment and materials

Prepare and sterilize laboratory supplies and equipment

Label tubes and prepare them for analysis

Facilitate post-analysis specimen storage and sample banking

Assist with equipment maintenance and lab area organization

Support inventory management and general lab workstation cleanup

What We Are Looking For :

High School Diploma or equivalent (Some CAP / CLIA lab locations may require an Associate Degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution)

06 months of relevant work experience preferred

Basic knowledge of laboratory practices safety procedures and infection control

Other Equivalent combination of education training and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

The Knowledge Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role :

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequent standing and walking occasional sitting close eye work requirement (computer typing reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures

Familiarity with sterilization decontamination and hazardous waste handling procedures

Understanding of laboratory equipment instrumentation and terminology

Basic computer skills and ability to maintain effective workflow and reporting
