Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Location: Memphis, TN
Pay : $20–$29 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus : $5,000
Call Requirement : yes
Must live within 30 minutes driving distance to the hospital.
Shifts Available :

• Day and Night Shifts (Four 10-hour shifts per week).

Position Summary
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologists (CST) to join our surgical team. The Surgical Technologist plays a critical role in supporting the surgical team by ensuring all necessary equipment, instrumentation, and supplies are prepared and available for each procedure. This position is vital to maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring seamless operations in the operating room.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques and maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
• Set up and organize operating rooms with necessary equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies based on case requirements.
• Scrub in and assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during surgical procedures.
• Prepare and pull surgical cases as needed, ensuring all items are accounted for before and after procedures.
• Break down and clean operating rooms post-procedure, ensuring readiness for subsequent cases.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate and respond to needs during surgery.
• Assist in preparing the operating room schedule and supplies for the following day.
• Participate in the on-call schedule as required to support unit needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to meet departmental needs.

Qualifications
Education :

• Required : Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program as mandated by state regulations or hospital policy.

Experience :

• Preferred : At least 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist.

Certifications :

• Required : Current BLS certification.
• Preferred : Surgical Technology Certification.
