We’re looking to hire a skilled Copy Editor for a hybrid role in Irvine, California. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with potential for extension. As a Copy Editor, you’ll join our client’s fast-paced marketing team within the financial sector, where you will be responsible for editing and proofreading a wide range of marketing materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with multiple departments to uphold content quality and ensure timely delivery of projects.

The position is hybrid, requiring on-site work in both Downtown Los Angeles and Irvine offices Tuesday through Thursday (Monday and Friday remote). Starting 9/8/25, the schedule shifts to on-site Monday through Thursday, with Fridays remote.

Copy Editor Responsibilities:

• Edit and proofread print and digital content for grammar, clarity, consistency, style, tone, and compliance.

• Verify data and statistics against internal and external sources; ensure compliance with disclosure requirements.

• Manage updates to quarterly/annual materials, including statistical content and investment/risk disclosures.

• Utilize digital tools to confirm information is correctly reflected across all web and digital channels.

• Apply copyediting best practices to maintain accuracy while conforming to layout limitations.

• Monitor and incorporate compliance updates into marketing materials to ensure legal and regulatory alignment.

• Stay current on internal style guides and industry-standard tools (e.g., AP Stylebook, Chicago Manual of Style).

• Maintain consistent tone and style across communication channels.

• Identify and solve moderately complex content issues with sound editorial judgment.

• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, displaying strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Manage project timelines, production schedules, and version control with strong attention to detail.

Copy Editor Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of professional copyediting experience, ideally in financial, pharmaceutical, or medical industries.

• Strong command of grammar, punctuation, syntax, and style (Chicago and AP).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

• Familiarity with financial and investment terminology and compliance requirements.
