We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Staff Accountant to join our team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports. The position requires a deep understanding of financial reporting, Deltek, year-end audit procedures, and the construction industry.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Document financial transactions by entering account information.
• Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Secure financial information by completing database backups.
• Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or related field, specifically within the construction industry.
• Proficient in accounting software, particularly Deltek.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and year-end audit procedures.
• Excellent mathematical skills.
• Understanding of data privacy standards.
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
