Payroll Administrator
We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our team in Tustin, California. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Controller to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting the company's growth. This position requires a proactive individual who thrives in dynamic environments and is eager to streamline processes and maintain compliance.
Responsibilities
Monitor and review daily timesheet submissions for hourly employees to ensure accuracy.
Process weekly payroll using eBacon software, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Maintain employee records and payroll data with a focus on precision and organization.
Collaborate with HR to assist in onboarding new employees and entering their details into the payroll system.
Ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements for payroll and reporting.
Prepare certified payroll reports for prevailing wage jobs, adhering to necessary guidelines.
Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely submission of certified payroll reports.
Support the Controller by handling payroll-related journal entries and labor / job costing tasks.
Address other payroll and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
At least 2 years of direct experience in payroll processing, preferably on a weekly basis.
Proficiency in managing timesheets, payroll data, and employee records.
Familiarity with payroll systems such as eBacon, Paycom, ADP Workforce Now, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of prevailing wage compliance and certified payroll reporting processes.
Background in construction or government-contracted environments is highly advantageous.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data reconciliations.
Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
