SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented engineer to support our programs delivering Next-Generation Missile Warning software. This is a unique opportunity to join a small business delivering core capabilities for National defense. You will work within a fast-paced team delivering end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor data for Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and Technical Intelligence.

We are seeking a Senior Software Platform Engineer to serve as a key technical contributor on a Platform as a Service (PaaS) team supporting application integration at a customer site. This role focuses on building, operating, and evolving platform capabilities that enable development teams to reliably deploy, operate, and scale applications in containerized environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a platform engineering contributor within an integration team at the customer site
• Support the integration and deployment of applications into containerized PaaS environments
• Design and implement deployment strategies across development, test, and operational systems
• Build, maintain, and improve CI / CD pipelines supporting secure and repeatable application delivery
• Integrate development tools for :
• Artifact management
• Automated testing
• Code quality and security analysis
• Troubleshoot deployed applications and platform services; perform root-cause analysis
• Work closely with other engineers and integration team members to resolve technical issues
• Interface with customer stakeholders to support platform operations and application onboarding
• Contribute to platform documentation , standards, and best practices
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and technical discussions
• Support continuous improvement, automation, and platform reliability efforts
• Perform other duties as assigned

The pay range for this position is $146,000 - $175,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education / training, and key skills.
