Position :   Principal Software Engineer (EDMS Admin / Developer)

• 8-15yrs experience reqd – EDMS and Documentum experience required
• Strong EDMS / Documentum developer with proven experience in large web based applications initiatives. Requires strong knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures used in all phases of full life cycle applications and systems development, engineering, programming, and analysis at a highly technical level. Principal Responsibilities

1.Experience in the design, writing, and testing of computer programs or database development, with two or more years’ experience in software operating systems architecture.

2.Requires expert knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures used in all phases of full life cycle applications and systems development, engineering, programming, and analysis at a highly technical level.

3.Participates in all phases of software operating systems and software application programs engineering, including design, analysis, and modeling at an expert level; establishes state-of-the-art techniques for designing, developing, modifying and troubleshooting highly complex software operating systems and applications architectures; defines complex design specifications and parameters; identifies and directs resolution of complex hardware / software interface issues; can serve as a subject matter expert on emerging technologies; directs the development of systems specifications and technical documentation; may serve as project lead, either working independently in a technical role in field of specialization, or providing work leadership with management or supervisory responsibility for the group.

4.Provide support for an Enterprise Content Management solution according to the requirements for document management needs utilizing EMC Documentum platform based on J2EE framework to enable users to process content management functionality for desktop, portal and web-based applications.

5.Implement the required business rules for all document types utilizing the Documentum Composer

6.Participate in installing and integrating Documentum Client for Outlook

7.Designs and codes software components, units, and modules that meet product specifications and development schedules.

8.Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.

9.Tests and debugs assigned components and units.

10.Participates in large system and subsystem planning.

11.Collaborates with hardware engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems and works with them to resolve incompatibilities.

12.Writes and updates technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.

13.Troubleshoots problems and provides customer support for software operating systems and application issues.

14.Advises hardware engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems, such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input / output  R equirements.

15.Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

16.Participates in special projects as required.

oEducation

17. Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work / military experience.

oExperience

18. 8-15 years of related software development experience. Required Skills

1.Experience with Documentum 5x / 6.x architecture including Documentum Content Server maintenance, Webtop customization, Full Text Index Server, Documentum Query Language, Web Developer Kit and Document Transformation Services.

2.Understanding of Java, XML, Workflows, Administration

3.Knowledge and experience with EDMS, requirements analysis, systems evaluation, systems design, complex database systems is highly desired.

4.Analytical ability, the discipline to maintain thorough documentation and commitment to client satisfaction are necessary.

5.Strong interpersonal presentation and communication skills

6.EMC Composer is a required skill set. Desired Skills
