Position Details :

Title : Accounting Professional

Position Type : 1 year contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need

Job Location : Indianapolis, IN AND Remote. In office Thursday and Friday.

Shift : 1st Shift

Compensation : $35.75 / HR

Overview :

The Accounting Professional will support various Accounting and Business departments by providing accurate financial information and documentation. This role includes handling business-related accounting tasks for internal teams and assisting with activities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide accounting details and documentation for AP, AR, GL, or cash items to Defense finance teams and external buyers as needed.
  • Coordinate data requests from the M&A group.
  • Perform reconciliations, review journal entries, and complete ad hoc assignments as directed by management.

Must Haves :

  • Proficiency in Excel (ideally 4 / 10 or higher on a 1-10 scale).
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 2+ years of accounting experience.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 2 years of accounting experience, or a Master's degree in Accounting or Finance and 2+ years of experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

    • Preferred :

  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
