About The Position

ID : 74461184 Shift : 10H Days 10 hr days w / varied starts, call included, EOW Description : Unit : Cath Lab, EP and IR - RN# suites / labs : 3 suites Cath / EP, 1 suite for Complex IR#cases per day on average : 8-10 cases per dayRequired Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?)BLS, ACLS, PALSCommon diagnoses / Types of patients : Cath lab- L&R interventional and diagnostic, implants, pacers, STEMIs ect, Balloon Pump, Impella, ECMO, shockwaves- rotabladerEP- EP studies, diagnostics, ablations, watchmans, TAVR etc Trauma- ebmolization, peripheral cases IR- complex more in depth intervention, embolize bleedNeuro- Cerebral aneurysms, diagnostics, thrombectomies, rotoblade, coils, etc.Job Duties : Circulate, no scrub required. Moderate sedation. patient teaching. transporting patient to and from original departmet. All other medication administration. Equipment set up of Balloon Pump, Impella and Rotablade. Good communication and rapport with interventionalist and other relevant staff in the hospital. Practices hand-off and SBAR.Experience or 'Must have' skills : Cath Lab experience- experience setting up the above equipment (EP, Neuro, trauma, and complex IR experience preferred) but a willingness to learn these areas if necessary. 2 years of experience. Previous travel preferred EMR / Equipment : Cerner and MergeCardiologist hours / on call : Cardiologist on call 24 / 7Manager / Charge Nurse : Lead Tech over cath lab, Manager Emily Cath Lab Techs : YesShifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) : RNs- variable 10 hr shift starting at 6-630a depending on cases

• Self scheduling is allowed, however, we only honor the requested time off in their contracts as we try to meet the departments' needs first and this being a union hospital, seniority is honored.Weeknight / Call Requirements : 12-14 (including weekends) call days of weekday call required per 4 week schedule. Starts when staff leave for the day roughly 5p-7a unit the start of next shiftWeekend / Call Requirements : Required call every other weekend. Starts when they get off shift on Friday about 5p and it goes through to Monday at 7aHoliday / Call Requirements : Call required- depending on the needsWhat is call response time? : 30 minutes, no call roomFloating Requirements : noneScrub Color / Dress Code : ProvidedUnit / Department specific orientation : 2-3 shiftsAdditional Notes : Candidates should be flexible and willing to stay past their 10 hour shifts if they are needed, for longer casesAdditional Questions : Tell me about a time when you made a difference in a patient's life?
