Construction Project Manager
Position Overview
The Construction Project Manager oversees all phases of restaurant construction and renovation projects across our multi-location restaurant group. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to brand standards, safety regulations, and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all construction activities from pre-construction through project closeout.
- Oversee site selection assessments, permitting, budgeting, scheduling, and contractor / vendor management.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and cost controls; prepare regular progress reports for leadership.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, general contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with scope and brand design standards.
- Conduct frequent site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Source, negotiate, and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
- Review drawings, architectural plans, and specifications; provide recommendations for value engineering when needed.
- Ensure all projects meet local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety requirements.
- Coordinate installation of kitchen equipment, furniture, fixtures, and signage with internal teams and vendors.
- Manage punch lists and ensure timely project closeout, including inspections and turnover to operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction; hospitality or restaurant construction experience strongly preferred.Strong understanding of building systems, restaurant equipment installation, construction processes, and permitting.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across various locations.Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor-management skills.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction documents.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently to job sites.Skills & Competencies
