Job Description
Urgently Hiring!
Definition : Behavior technicians of both types are responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the BCBA working without direct daily supervision in the family homes of our clients or, under rare circumstances, in preschool or school placements. Behavior technicians of both types will also collect data and conduct certain types of assessments (e.g., stimulus preference assessments) under the supervision of the assigned BCBA.
Our Behavior Technicians in both categories are continually supervised by an agency BCBA for a percentage their work time and engage in behavior analytic professional development activities. It is expected that once trained and in a work placement with a child, that the Technician will contact the assigned BCBA for any and all circumstances that arise during work that are unusual or for which the correct procedure to follow is not clear, by the most appropriate means. It is also expected that Technicians will report any and all changes of schedule as soon as known to the BCBA by the most appropriate means.
The behavior technician is not responsible for the designing of interventions, conducting in-depth assessments, or developing skill acquisition or behavior reduction plans. It is the responsibility of the designated BCBA supervisor of the Behavior Technician to determine which tasks an individual Technician may perform as a function of his or her training, experience, and competence. The designated BCBA supervisor is ultimately responsible for the work performed by the Behavior Technician.
