An established organization is seeking an experienced

Special Education Director

to lead its programs and provide guidance to teachers, staff, and families. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in special education leadership, classroom supervision, and program development who wants to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and behavioral growth.

Role Overview

As the Special Education Director, you will be the primary point of contact for staff and teachers, overseeing classroom operations, student support, and family communication. You will ensure the quality of education and care while providing leadership, guidance, and administrative oversight for all aspects of the special education program.

Key Responsibilities :

Serve as the main point of contact for teachers and staff, providing supervision, support, and guidance.

Observe classrooms, assist with behavior management, and review lesson plans to ensure high-quality instruction.

Communicate effectively with families, school districts, and outside resources.

Lead and attend IEP meetings and assist in goal setting and progress tracking for students.

Supervise and mentor staff, helping to develop their professional growth.

Plan and implement educational strategies, policies, and program improvements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required ;

PhD preferred

in Education, Psychology, or a related field.

Proven experience in

classroom leadership and supervisory roles

in special education or related settings.

Strong understanding of special education laws, IEPs, and behavioral interventions.

Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Flexible, compassionate, and adaptable approach to leadership.
