Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring the overall design, reliability and performance of our baking facility. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing maintenance and reliability strategies to optimize equipment efficiency, minimize downtime, and enhance the overall operational reliability of the facility.

This position is hybrid, reporting to two baking facilities, as required. The Reliability Engineer reports to the Plant Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities :

• Design, develop and implement comprehensive maintenance and reliability programs to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of the bakery.
• Work with a team of mechanic technicians, electricians, operators. and maintenance professionals to identify and address equipment issues proactively.
• Conduct regular equipment assessments and condition monitoring to identify potential failures and design and implement predictive maintenance measures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance, reduce downtime, and improve overall plant reliability.
• Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track reliability metrics, providing regular reports to management.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to establish effective preventive maintenance plans and schedules based on analyses of key failures.
• Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting equipment failures and design and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with plant buyer, inventory specialist, and vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of spare parts and support for critical equipment.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, technological advancements, and emerging trends in reliability and maintenance.
• Perform other duties as may be required and / or assigned.
• Will need to be available for on-call
