Purpose of Your Job Position
The primary purpose of your job position is to provide each patient with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the patient's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.
Delegation of Authority
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
- Serve meals and assist with feeding, monitoring intake.
- Observe and report changes in resident health, behavior, or skin condition to nurses.
- Maintain accurate and descriptive documentation of care provided.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe resident environment.
- Support resident rights and maintain confidentiality.
- Active CNA certification.
- Ability to follow care plans and supervisor instructions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to resident dignity and respect.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
