What You’ll Do :
Care for children and adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric setting with empathy and professionalism
Support patients with daily routines and assist in building structure, trust, and safety
Take and record vital signs, administer injections, and assist with medical procedures
Prepare exam rooms and ensure a clean, organized clinical environment
Assist physicians during exams and treatments
Guide families through the care process with kindness and clear communication
Coordinate with insurance providers and primary care offices for authorizations and referrals
Carry out nursing care plans and observe how patients respond to treatment
Be a steady, supportive presence on a team that is passionate about helping kids thrive
Shift Details :
Day Shift : 7 : 00 am to 7 : 30 pm
Every other weekend required
Some holidays required as part of the rotation
What You’ll Bring :
A current New York State LPN license
CPR certification or the ability to be certified or recertified
At least one year of nursing experience
Psychiatric nursing experience is required
Pediatric experience is strongly preferred
A calm and caring presence, even in high-stress situations
Strong communication skills, both with patients and as part of a healthcare team
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records is a plus
