DESCRIPTION

The Pressure Vessel Fitter   performs the layout, fit, and fabrication of metal components to assemble tanks and vessels to be manufactured using knowledge of welding techniques and engineering requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Fitter Level 1 :

• Recognizes bid-level time to produce.
• Sets up and adjusts welding equipment.
• Performs basic welding jobs.
• Performs simple fitting jobs.
• Performs basic layout jobs.
• Examines products or work to verify conformance to specification.
• Removes rough spots from work piece using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
• Provides assistance to Fitter II and Fitter III positions as needed.
• Performs general housekeeping activities.
• Follow all safety precautions including wearing the required personal protective clothing and equipment.
• Performs other work related to fitting / welding processes when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Fitter Level 2 :

Performs Level 1 activities, plus :

Fitter Level 3 :

Performs Level 1 and 2 activities, plus :
