Associate Relations And Well Being Specialist
This role requires associates to work out of a Mars Veterinary Health hub location in North America (ex : Vancouver, WA; Tampa, FL; etc.). Provides dedicated expertise in Associate Relations (AR) and Associate Well Being for the Division. Uses data driven insights to empower and educate the People & Organization (P&O) and Regional teams on themes and trends. Advises the Sr. Director Field P&O and Division Directors of Field P&O on AR trends and themes impacting culture within respective division and organization-wide. Essential Responsibilities and Tasks : + Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team. + Lead in all legally required investigations; Harassment, Discrimination, Retaliation, and Unfair Treatment. + Serve as field point of contact for all EEOC Charges, claims and investigations related to those charges, Labor relations, Ombudsman for appropriate action and follow up. + Crisis Response Triage for self-harm incidents and concerns, including consulting with the field and Health and Wellbeing for after-care plan, return to work, coaching etc. Will liaison with respective stakeholders to ensure appropriate support and after-action reviews are completed. + Reviews in partnership with the Sr. Director and Regional teams associate to Senior Leadership Team concerns, including potential response, hand off and next steps. + Leads AR Case Review calls with P&O Business Partners to ensure consistency, completion, and quality of case review notes. + Conducts AR Case Review data and reporting analysis sharing insights with Sr. Director and Divisional P&O Directors. + Provides input, updates and recommendations on CARE training and legal compliance trainings needed in the field. + Coaches the Regional P&O Business Partners on issues related to associate relations, case management and appropriate follow up. + Partners with Sr. Directors Field P&O and Central Team Support to review and update P&O Policies as needed. + Serve as point of contact for wage and hour cases and issues in partnership with the field P&O business partners. + Other job duties as assigned. Special Working Conditions : + Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time. + Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics, and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently. + Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables. + Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 25 pounds. + Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment. + The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate. + Environment where pets are present. + The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Experience, Education and / or Training : + Bachelor's degree in Human Resources is preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. + SHRM CP or SCP / or other HR Certification is preferred. + 10 years of experience in Associate Relations or as a Human Resource Generalist that had AR experience are required. + Previous experience leading and conducting HR investigations is required. + Deep understanding of employment law, including compliance, harassment, and discrimination, etc. is required. + Previous experience influencing and communication with a variety of levels in an organization, including senior leaders, is required. Salary Range : The pay range for this role is $93,707 - $128,847. The pay range listed reflects a general hiring range for the area, with the specific rate determined based on the candidate's experience, skill level, abilities, and education, and may vary depending on location and schedule.
