• Epic experience required
• First-time traveler welcome
• Charge experience preferred

Description :

Work in a 34-bed emergency department open to patients from neonates to geriatrics.

Average daily visits to the emergency department are approximately 100.

Utilize Epic and Pyxis in patient care.

An ED provider, such as an MD or PA, will be present.

A triage area and telemetry capabilities are available.

Responsibilities may include some conscious sedation.

Traveler is expected to float to like acuities or less if needed.

Required certifications include NIH / Stroke certifications, BLS, ACLS, CPI, and PALS.

Interact with various patient demographics, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Daily workload encompasses a variety of patient diagnoses and conditions.

Expect to manage patients with abdominal pain, acute psychosis, strokes, and respiratory infections.

Skills should include starting and maintaining IVs and procedural sedation administration.

The unit operates with a patient ratio of 5-6 on nights and weekends.

Collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams like respiratory services and social services is integral to care.
