EHS Manager, Plant Operations

Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in manufacturing construction chemicals and building materials - including adhesives, sealants, and specialty products used in flooring, tile, and concrete restoration. We are currently seeking an EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple facilities. This role ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, fosters a strong safety culture, and drives continuous improvement in our environmental, health, and safety management systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of OSHA and EPA programs, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to protecting people and the environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintain EHS regulatory compliance by conducting inspections, audits, and ensuring timely submission of reports and completion of action items.
• Respond to and coordinate site emergencies and governmental inquiries.
• Lead investigations of EHS incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective action completion.
• Provide classroom or web-based training necessary for effective regulatory compliance.
• Ensure adherence to corporate and site procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
• Supervise EHS Specialists and pre-treatment operators.
• Coordinate implementation and maintenance of Environmental and Health / Safety Management Systems (EMS / HSMS).
• Direct EHS continuous improvement efforts using the Plan-Do-Check-Act process.
• Prepare, submit, and maintain all site environmental permits and associated programs.
• Direct waste management activities including contracts, storage, shipment, and disposal of regulated and domestic waste.
• Lead safety and health initiatives to prevent injuries and minimize exposure to noise and chemical hazards.
• Conduct site inspections, document non-conformances, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Organize and lead site emergency response drills.
• Oversee industrial hygiene monitoring, updating hearing and respiratory protection programs as needed.
• Participate in site projects and objectives to ensure consistency with regulatory compliance.
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Perform additional duties as required.
