Associate Scientist – Louisville, CO

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Associate Scientist to support analytical development and characterization of Lentiviral Vector (LVV) and CAR-T cell products. The successful candidate will execute molecular, cellular, biophysical, and biochemical protocols, contribute to routine testing, and maintain high-quality laboratory records.

Contract : 6-month contract, potential for ongoing extension

Pay Rate : $43 / hr - $52 / hr

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsibilities include :

Execute and support bioanalytical assays for characterization of Lentiviral Vector (LVV) and CAR-T cell products, following established protocols and under the guidance of Senior Scientists.

Perform routine and advanced laboratory experiments to assess T-cell binding, activation, transduction efficiency, payload expression, and antigen-specific cytotoxicity.

Prepare and maintain detailed experimental records in electronic lab notebooks, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company standards.

Assist in the development, qualification, and transfer of analytical methods.

Maintain clear and accurate records of experimental work using an electronic notebook system in accordance with company guidelines.

Prepare summaries of technical data and contribute to technical reports.

Support documentation for IND submissions, especially EoS sections, by compiling data, preparing technical reports, and contributing to method write-ups.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Research, Process Development) to coordinate sample testing and share results.

Participate in troubleshooting and optimization of assays as needed, contributing to continuous improvement of analytical workflows.

Adhere to company policies and promote core values to ensure safety and quality of gene therapy products and facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

BS in Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline and 4+ years of experience; or an Associate Degree in life sciences or similar and 6+ years of experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Hands-on experience with one or more of the following techniques : cell culture, primary cell-based cytotoxicity assays, flow cytometry, ddPCR, MSD, JESS, ELISA.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Effective written and verbal communication skills; respectful and open to new ideas.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent communication skills, with the proven ability to build open and collaborative relationships and work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

Experience with viral vectors (e.g., LVV) is a plus.

Experience with experimental design, execution, and basic data analysis is a plus.

Self-motivation, organization, effective communication and presentation skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize work on multiple projects.
