Sr. Commercial Finance Analyst
Description
- Responsible for managing programs in development and current production programs to achieve and maintain the approved business case metrics of profitability and return on investment.
- Working directly with the new business pursuit team developing and analyzing business cases based on customer requirements, compiling cross functional inputs, and supporting quotations that are submitted to customers.
- Able to develop customer financial strategies, evaluate business cases, manage all aspects of the quote process, and communicate effectively.
- Strong finance skills and familiarity with business case preparation - financial metrics (IRR%, NPV, PB, Gross Profit, Operating Profit, Net Profit).
- Ability to monitor, maintain and report out on tooling and capital forecasts explaining budget / actual / committed and available positions.
- Well-rounded knowledge understanding the income statement and balance sheet being able to clearly articulate how each statement is leveraged to “tell the financial story” of any given business.
- Work with a complex bill of material to understand and cost a product, and related cost drivers.
- Change management responsibility for business planning, product costing, product pricing, and resolving financial issues.
- Control development spending and challenge the team to identify ways to reduce cost.
- Commercial finance experience modeling road maps and facilitating change management initiatives form an external / internal perspective.
- Great broad skill set includes analytical, communication, strategic thinking, and technical knowledge of the products.
- Utilize available tools to identify opportunities related to analysis, data mining, and customer / product profitability improvement plans.
- Strong analytical capabilities and exceptional financial modeling and analysis skills : Proficiency in financial modeling.
- Travel is required up to 5% both domestically and internationally to support the business, although this is an estimation and may increase or decrease depending on the needs of the business.
