Position Summary As a Dental Hygienist, you will work alongside our dentists and clinical team to provide dental cleanings and education on proper oral hygiene techniques.
Primary Responsibilities:- Prepare treatment room for patients
- Maintain instruments and sterilization
- Patient screening procedures; review patient health history
- Remove calculus and plaque from all surfaces of teeth
- Apply preventative materials to teeth (i.e. fluorides)
- Review oral hygiene strategies and directives with patients (i.e. brushing, flossing, etc.)
- Counsel patients about good nutrition and impact on oral health
- Perform documentation and office management activities
Secondary Responsibilities:- Take dental radiographs
- Maintain dental supplies inventory hygiene procedures
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending CE workshops
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Qualifications:- A minimum of 3 years of practice experience with prior leadership or mentoring experience in a clinical setting
- Active and unrestricted state dental hygiene license
- A commitment to providing patient-centered care that integrates oral health with overall health and well-being
- Strong ethical grounding in patient care and confidentiality
- A proactive attitude and willingness to participate actively in continual improvement of the clinics operations
*Note this hire will be an Epic Super User who receives extra training on Epic, acting as a point of contact and resource for their peers, providing at the elbow support before, during, and after Epic implementation
During Go-Live: Provide direct support to users, escalate issues, and report optimization/enhancement requests
Post Go-Live: Serve as a go-to resource for ongoing support, participate in training and system optimization, and act as a department representative to the Epic support team
Pay: $70.00 - $85.00 per hour
