Accounting Specialist

SUMMARY The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks and activities. Candidate must have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and perform accounting activities that are in line with accounting policies and procedures of Hanwha Q Cells Georgia to ensure accurate financial reporting. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.   RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Set up and maintain code of accounts.
• Assist in the monthly accounting close procedures including proper period end cut-off and accounting close schedule.
• Close cooperation with Finance & Accounting in Korea HQ.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist with regulatory reporting as applicable.
• Support the preparation of annual business plan for Finance team.
• Support the system of Internal Control over accounting functions. Assist the external auditors with certain substantive auditing procedures.
• Research accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Communicate with other departments to coordinate procedures.
• Respond to questions regarding external auditor’s review and year-end audit.
• Performs additional duties and special assignments as required.
• Support financial internal audit as needed basis.
