City Councilor Vacancy Announcement - Ward 4
The Seaside City Council is accepting applications to fill a forthcoming council vacancy in Ward 4 created by the resignation of Councilor David Posalski, effective December 20, who is relocating outside the city limits and will no longer meet residency requirements.
The Council intends to appoint a qualified applicant in January 2026 to serve through the end of the 2026 calendar year. The remaining two years of the four-year term will be filled in the November 2026 general election. If the appointed councilor wishes to continue serving beyond 2026, they must file for candidacy before the 2026 filing deadline, typically in August of the year preceding the election. Interested residents are encouraged to apply and help support the council's efforts during this interim year.
