Tax Director – Elevate Raleigh Partner Firm

As part of our continued expansion, we are investing in a Raleigh, North Carolina–based partner firm, and we are seeking an experienced Tax Director to lead and grow the tax practice. This is a high‑impact leadership role offering the opportunity to shape the future of the firm’s tax strategy, client service, and team development within Elevate’s broader national platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and expand the tax practice for the Raleigh partner firm, with responsibility for growth, client service, and team leadership.
  • Deliver high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to entrepreneurial businesses, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Drive practice growth through expansion of services to existing clients and proactive business development.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insight on complex tax issues and structuring opportunities.
  • Recruit, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing tax team, fostering a collaborative and growth‑focused culture.
  • Work closely with Elevate’s leadership team and shared services functions to leverage technology, innovation, and best practices across the platform.

Qualifications

  • Active CPA license required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business taxation, ideally with a Big 4, large national, or regional firm.
  • Demonstrated success leading client engagements and growing a practice.
  • Strong client relationship skills and a reputation for delivering exceptional service.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a growth-oriented environment.
