About The Position

Job Title : MRI Technologist

Profession : Medical Imaging Technologist

Hours per Shift : 12 : 30 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience required

License : ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered required

Certifications : Client registration or possess a limited permit to practice required

Must-Have : American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required

Description :

The Medical Imaging Technologist performs technical procedures under the direction of the Medical Director, Section Head, manager, and Radiologist.

They assist in the clinical evaluation and care of patients.

The Technologist utilizes their specific modality to create diagnostic images.

They provide patients with a safe and positive experience.

In radiation-producing modalities, technologists practice and enforce radiation safety measures in compliance with state health codes.

Technologists support teaching and continuous learning as technology evolves for themselves and others.

An Associate's Degree in Applied Science is required.

A diploma in X-Ray and graduation from an approved professional academic imaging program are also required.

While previous experience is preferred, maintaining competent imaging skills in the practicing modality is essential.

Technologists must comply with hospital and departmental policies, as well as state and accrediting agency standards.

They must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the age and special characteristics of the patients.

The goal is to ensure a safe and positive experience for the patient.
