Job Description
Provide technical support for software implementation, functionality, upgrades, and vendor applications, including remittance payment processing and enterprise high-speed printing systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to vendor and internal applications on client PCs.
Perform desktop support tasks such as installing, configuring, and updating software.
Conduct regular maintenance, updates, and backups of Postal Database systems to ensure data integrity and reliability.
Prepare and review test plans, execute application testing, and validate results for quality assurance.
Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and solutions for knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve IT processes and infrastructure efficiency.
Analyze and design solutions independently with limited guidance, and propose IT solutions for moderate-to-complex business problems.
Support operations by promptly resolving user, business, and application issues.
Perform additional tasks as needed, including operational support and maintenance activities.
Support and manage PC and server vulnerabilities using internal scanning systems to ensure compliance and security across all endpoints.

Required Skills & Experience
Strong programming expertise in Perl, PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments, including shell scripting, file system navigation, and troubleshooting.
Ability to develop and maintain automation scripts for administration, monitoring, and patch management.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent technical certifications and experience.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT support or a related technical role.
Hands-on experience with Linux OS management and Windows systems.
Knowledge of common business applications and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond promptly to user / client needs.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with SQL Server and Windows Server.
Familiarity with payment remittance processing systems.
Knowledge of enterprise high-speed printing operations.
Exposure to web development concepts.
