Hospice Chaplain

Serenity Hospice provides caring and compassionate hospice care services to patients and families throughout New Jersey. Our mission is to alleviate pain and symptoms; foster a state of calmness and harmony; and encourage an appreciation of family, friends, and life experiences.

Serenity Hospice Care  is looking for compassionate and dedicated  Hospice Chaplain to join our team in the Bergen County areas. The Chaplain is responsible for assessing the spiritual and religious needs of patients and their families, arrange for the provision of spiritual and religious support in accordance with their wishes, and supporting families in the bereavement process.

Responsibilities :

• Assist with patients spiritual needs, including coordination of services.
• Provide spiritual counseling and emotional support to patients / families.
• Participate in the development of the care plan.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate with families and patients.
• Demonstrate commitment to Serenity Hospice’s philosophy of care, values, mission statement and organizational culture.
• Answering emails, voicemails, patient database charting, etc.
