The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Controller and requires and energetic, service oriented individual responsible for supporting various aspects of finance and accounting. This role requires a strong work ethic, good time management skills, and communication skills in accordance with the core values of Scott Group Studio.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Primary focus on accounts receivable, including billing and cash receipts
• Perform posting of cash receipts, expenses, or other transactions to the general ledger and verify accuracy
• Assist in year-end activities, including preparation work for review and tax
• Assist in preparation and review of monthly financial statements
• Review and reconcile vendor, customer and credit card statements
• Support Controller by classifying, recording and computing financial data
• Coordinate and execute projects and tasks assigned by the Controller and other members of the company leadership team as needed.
• Handle purchasing of raw materials, including arranging domestic / international freight.
