Position : Network Systems Engineer

Length : Direct Hire / Full-Time

Location : Canton, GA

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Network & Systems Engineer to support and enhance our client's enterprise infrastructure. This role combines network engineering, systems administration, and virtualization expertise to ensure a secure, reliable, and high-performing IT environment.

Responsibilities

Operate and support a Cisco-based network, including routers, switches, chassis, and related infrastructure.
Install, configure, and maintain network equipment across the organization.
Manage and troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls, routing, VPN tunnels, and security configurations.
Oversee Aruba wireless solutions using Aruba Central.
Administer Windows server environments, including DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory domain controllers.
Create and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) aligned with company standards and access requirements.
Provide systems administration for data center hardware, servers, and storage provisioning.
Configure and maintain VMware hosts, virtual machines, performance monitoring, and resource allocation.
Support Tier 3 service desk escalations, including break / fix issues and application upgrades.
Perform regular system backups and ensure environment reliability.
Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Desired Qualifications

5+ years of experience in network infrastructure.

3+ years of experience in system administration.

3+ years of experience with Azure cloud services.

3+ years of VMware experience.

3+ years working in disaster recovery environments.

Bachelors degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience with relevant Microsoft certifications.

5+ years of combined networking and systems experience; strong familiarity with Microsoft 365.

Preferred Certifications : CCNA / CCNP, Microsoft MCSE.
