What You'll Do : As a Field Engineer, you'll work closely with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Superintendent to manage all construction processes effectively to reach the goals set for the project. Duties will typically include, but are not limited to, layout, field purchasing, document control, preplanning, safety, quality, production management, and project closeout as well as :
Implementing Bowen's SQP processPerforms layout duties as required by the SuperintendentMaintain field document control systemsInterprets designs and drawings; Researches and recommends resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts and errorsPrepares RFIs. Maintains RFI logs and timely response to job questionsPrepares drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, estimates, etc.Ensures approved shop drawings, plans and specifications, and accurate field measurements are utilized in Operations Plans execution and addresses discrepancies with Project TeamEnsures craft payroll is completed accurately, reflecting hours worked and tasks worked on; assigns cost codes to all purchases, time cards, equipment time and any other item involving costAssists Superintendent with daily job reports and schedule monitoringAssist in daily production management activities including evaluation of daily crew cost against activity budgetMust-haves in a Candidate :
