Job Title: Locum Physician - General Medicine WA

Overview:
Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company, is actively seeking qualified General Medicine providers to conduct interview-based assessments and physical examinations for Veterans. This PRN, ongoing role offers flexibility in scheduling, with options for half-day or full-day shifts, and a chance to make a difference in Veteran care without the need for a dedicated office. The role involves performing non-treatment exams, including range of motion and muscle strength testing, with no prescribing or treatment responsibilities. Quick credentialing and onboarding streamline your entry into this rewarding mission supporting Veterans nationwide.

Required Skills:

• Medical degree with licensure in internal medicine, family medicine, or related fields
• Proven experience in general medicine or assessments related to compensation and pension (C&P) examinations
• Strong interview and physical assessment skills
• Ability to perform thorough, respectful evaluations in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to meet credentialing requirements promptly

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience with Veteran healthcare or military-related assessments
• Familiarity with compensation and pension exam procedures
• Certification in additional specialties such as orthopedic surgery or related fields
• Experience working independently or remotely

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Valid state medical license in Washington or eligibility to obtain one
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine or assessment roles
• Previous experience in government or Veterans Affairs healthcare settings is a plus

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work locally within Washington State; travel is included in rates
• Availability to start from March 6, 2026, with ongoing flexible scheduling
• Must complete necessary credentialing, training, and portal onboarding
• Must possess or obtain required certifications and maintain licensure throughout employment

Compensation & Benefits:
Enjoy a highly competitive pay rate of $624 per hour, with flat rates for half-day ($800) and full-day ($1,600) shifts. Additional benefits include weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical coverage, paid sick leave, licensure, certification, travel reimbursements when applicable, and a robust referral bonus program.
