The Whitby Hotel is searching for a dynamic and passionate F&B Floor Manager to lead the way in delivering exceptional service! This position reports directly to the F&B Manager and is fully responsible for the service of the restaurant outlet. The role also assists in all other outlets within the department whenever needed, including room service and special events. The goal is to provide outstanding guest service and to motivate the Food & Beverage team to achieve budget goals and exceed guest expectations.
Main Duties to Include but Not Limited To :
- Act as a role model for the Food & Beverage team, particularly in guest contact skills and personal presentation.
- Maintain a constant and active presence on the floor to both support and direct the service team.
- Assist the F&B Manager in recruiting and retaining high-caliber employees for the department.
- Ensure effective departmental communication through pre-service meetings and one-on-one coaching.
- Prepare weekly departmental payroll.
- Execute a weekly departmental schedule.
- Prepare a monthly summary for the restaurant department, including sales figures, personnel and training updates, and new ideas.
- Consistently and thoroughly execute all daily reporting, opening and closing paperwork, and health department checklists.
- Ensure all allergy procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements :
Minimum of 2 years of F&B management experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant in NYC.Exceptional organization and administrative skills.Friendly demeanor.Excellent level of spoken and written English.Must have or be able to obtain a NYC Food Handler’s License.TIPS certification is a plus, but not required.Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to build spreadsheets.Must understand point-of-sale systems such as Micros.Must be open to working AM and PM shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.Employee Benefits :
