Academy Bus is seeking a full-time Diesel Mechanic-Road Service-Class A with hands-on supervisory skills for our new Orlando, FL location. $2500 Sign on bonus.
$33.00-$42.00 per hour. Pay rate based on candidate experience level.
1st and 2nd shift available.
1st Shift : 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm
2nd Shift : 3 : 00pm-11 : 30pm
Responsibilities : Class B Diesel Bus Mechanic or Class A Diesel Bus Mechanic
- Repair, troubleshooting and diagnosis of modern tour buses
- Reconditioning, preventative and routine maintenance
- Inspections and road tests
- Warranty and repair documentation
- Diagnosis, inspection, installation, disassembly and cleaning of components such as : brakes, suspension, tires, bearings, seals, radiators, water pumps, coolant hoses, alternators, regulators, steering components, oil / air filters, door assemblies, controls, seats, belts, electric motors, pneumatic valves, cables, and linkages.
- Respond to road calls
- Basic welding / fabrication
- Class B Mechanics will assist A Level Mechanics with skilled work and train / supervise C Level Mechanics
- Class A Mechanics will train and supervise Mechanics and Cleaners.
Requirements : Diesel Bus Mechanic
(A) 7+ years of diesel engine maintenance(A) Proficient in the use of diagnostic devices such as : DDEC readers, ATEC readers, SmarTire, schematics, AIC (Freon) recovery and charging equipmentMust have supervisory skills and experienceProven ability to use hands tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, welding equipment, and testing instrumentsMust have own toolsValid driver's licenseBasic computer skillsCDL License with Passenger and Airbrake endorsement is a plus but not required, willingness to obtain a CDL License is also desirable.Health Insurance and Benefits Offered Include :
