Job Summary

  • Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition and establishes a plan of care.
  • Provides therapeutic interventions appropriate to the age and disability of the patient.
  • Documents delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
  • Educates patients, family, caregivers, significant others, and staff members.
  • Directs and supervises activities of Occupational Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel.
  • Promotes physical rehabilitation services through community / system based education activities, marketing opportunities, and support groups.
  • Accepts the role of a Clinical Instructor to supervise / educate students from accredited occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant programs.
  • Participates in planning for the provision of patient care services.
  • Provides staff in-service upon returning from continuing education or professional conferences.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree of Science in Occupational Therapy.

    • Licensure / Certification / Registration / ETC.

  • Licensed as an Occupational Therapist by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Examiners or a graduate OT eligible for Oklahoma licensure / temporary license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
