Position Overview

The Assistant Superintendent plays a critical role in supporting day-to-day field operations on commercial projects. Working closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager, this role ensures that every phase of construction aligns with SL Shaw’s commitment to quality, safety, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Superintendent in managing daily site operations, subcontractor coordination, and schedule adherence
• Maintain strict compliance with safety protocols and company standards
• Conduct daily walkthroughs to monitor progress and quality craftsmanship
• Assist with project documentation, including daily logs, RFIs, and inspections
• Coordinate deliveries, material staging, and logistics in tight environments
• Ensure construction aligns with design intent and SL Shaw’s standards of excellence
• Represent SL Shaw professionally when engaging with clients, consultants, and trade partners
