Minimum of 5+ years of field supervision experience in sectors such as office, retail, healthcare, education, or mixed-use. Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and project sequencing. Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills with a proactive, hands-on approach. Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, and other construction management software preferred. OSHA 30 certification and strong commitment to jobsite safety. Job Description : Commercial Superintendent – Commercial Construction
Location : Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Salary : $130,000 – $160,000 (DOE) + Comprehensive Benefits
We’re seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to join our Fort Lauderdale team. This individual will play a key leadership role overseeing all field operations on large-scale commercial projects across South Florida. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and schedules to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and manage daily field operations for commercial projects from groundbreaking through closeout.
- Coordinate subcontractors, materials, equipment, and inspections to maintain project progress and quality standards.
- Enforce jobsite safety, quality control, and company standards at all times.
- Review drawings, specifications, and schedules to plan and sequence work effectively.
- Lead field meetings and coordinate with project managers, engineers, and owners to resolve issues proactively.
- Track daily progress, document site activities, and report on manpower, materials, and project milestones.
- Support project managers with schedule updates, change orders, and cost tracking as needed.
- Mentor and develop assistant superintendents and field staff to strengthen team performance.
