Senior Business Systems Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to focus on driving analysis for data and analytics development within an EDIM team. The ideal Senior Business Analyst will have extensive experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and working with complex integrated systems. The Senior Business Analyst must work onsite in Durham, NC.

Responsibilities for the Senior Business Systems Analyst include:

• Conduct investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes through improvements in information systems, management practices, procedures, and organizational change.
• Utilize and monitor modeling and analysis tools, methods, and standards, with a focus on business perspectives.
• Analyze business processes, identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility, and recommend new approaches, typically leveraging technology components.
• Negotiate technical and commercial issues at a senior level, influence the development and enhancement of services, products, and systems, and oversee the management and planning of business opportunities.

Qualifications for the Senior Business Systems Analyst include:

• 5+ years' experience in large enterprise systems with extensive business analysis and requirements gathering for complex integrated systems
• Prior experience in a large IT organization within the Clinical Research space
• 5+ years' experience conducting business requirements sessions, writing business requirements, and developing use cases
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and RICEFW processes, experience with Onsite – Offshore model
• Proficient with business analysis tools such as Visio, JIRA, PowerPoint and Excel
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum), UML, Object-Oriented, Data Modeling, Process Modeling, or other development methodologies.
