Schedule : MondayFriday 8 : 00 AM 4 : 00 PM (30-minute break)

Pay Rate : $21 / hour

Job Overview

The Patient Registrar supports Radiology Patient Access operations by ensuring accurate patient registration insurance verification and exceptional customer service. This role plays a vital part in maintaining data integrity supporting regulatory compliance and serving as a key point of contact for patients and clinical staff in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately register patients for radiology services

Verify patient demographics and insurance information in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Review insurance benefits and authorization requirements

Enter update and maintain patient information within registration and scheduling systems

Apply working knowledge of medical coding (ICD-9 and CPT-4 preferred) to support accurate documentation

Answer incoming calls and provide professional courteous assistance to patients and internal teams

Maintain high attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and completeness

Deliver excellent customer service while managing multiple priorities

Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient patient flow

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of 1 year of clerical or administrative experience

Knowledge of patient registration processes and health insurance requirements

Strong attention to detail with a solid understanding of HIPAA compliance

Proficiency with computers keyboards and standard office systems

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Customer serviceoriented approach

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a healthcare or radiology setting
