• Data & Databases : Experience with SQL development using Microsoft SQL and Redshift / PostgreSQL
• Cybersecurity & Information Assurance : Core understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices, Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and security controls is highly valued.
• Health IT & Informatics (DHA Specific) : Experience with health information systems and standards (like HL7, FHIR, OHDSI) is a major advantage.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as MHS GENESIS, is a major advantage.
• Soft Skills :
• Analytical Thinking, Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions
• Communication : Clearly explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Teamwork & Collaboration : Working effectively with other IT professionals, healthcare providers, and military personnel.
• Attention to Detail : Critical when working with sensitive health data and complex systems.
• Degree Requirement :
• Bachelor's Degree
• Any special / unique skills / training required : (i.e.) Tableau / informatics experience, etc. :
• Core Computer Science : Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, digital computer systems architecture, and computer science theory.
• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL, Redshift, PostgreSQL, and Python or R.
• Knowledge of software engineering principles and scientific methods.
• Familiarity with Cloud Based Services from AWS or Azure

This is a Contract position based out of Rock Island, IL.

• Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $50.00 / hr.
