Job Description

Direct services, workflow and resource for one or more of the assigned specialty nursing areas : Cardiovascular / Cath Lab, Surgical Services, Emergency / Triage, Endoscopy, Adult or Pediatric / NeoNatal Critical Care, Labor & Delivery / Women & Family.

• Develop departmental goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system.
• Direct clinical activities, including patient assessment, care plan development, service level determination, patient visits, and complaint management.
• Prepare and monitor budget(s) and ensures that the assigned nursing area operates within allocated funds.
• Coordinate and direct internally and externally-driven audits.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, administration and directors to develop streamlined operations where equipment, supplies and staff are utilized efficiently and resourcefully.
• Remove obstacles to achieving clinical quality, service excellence and financial effectiveness targets.
• Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
