Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers the opportunity to provide specialized speech-language pathology services to K-12 students within a supportive school environment. The role primarily involves working with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, utilizing high-tech Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices to enhance communication and learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to students across K-12 grade levels
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective communication interventions
- Assess student needs and monitor progress, adjusting therapy plans accordingly
- Support integration of high-tech AAC devices as part of therapy and classroom activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all applicable regulatory requirements
Qualifications and Experience :
Valid New York State Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License requiredCredentials include Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)Experience working within school settings preferredFamiliarity with AAC technology and supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder is highly desirableStrong communication and collaboration skillsJob Details :
