Stepdown RN – Neuro / PCU – Rotating Shifts (NY License Only)

Start Date :  12 / 15 / 2025 |  Duration :  17 weeks |  End Date :  1 / 10 / 2026

Schedule :   Days / Evenings / Nights – Rotating Shift Schedule with weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge per unit needs.

About the Role :

We're seeking an experienced Stepdown RN (Level II) to join a high-acuity neuro / stroke stepdown unit. This nurse will provide exceptional patient care through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

The RN assumes expanded responsibilities, which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee participation.

Requirements :

✅ Two (2) years Stepdown / PCU experience

✅ BLS and ACLS (AHA only)

✅ Active  New York RN License  (required – no compacts)

✅ Telemetry experience

✅ High-acuity stroke and neurosurgery background

Must have hands-on experience with :

• Q1 neuro checks
• EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains
• 3% NS and Cardene drips
• Arterial lines
• Carotid endarterectomy
• Aneurysm coil / clips
• Deep Brain Stimulator (DBS) insertion
• VP shunts
• Seizure management
