Nutritional Aide (Temp) :

The Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC) was established in 1974 to better respond to the County's need for affordable housing. HOC is authorized to acquire, own, lease, and operate housing; to provide for the construction or renovation of housing; obtain financial assistance from any public or private source to assist its housing activities; and arrange for social services, resident services, and daycare.

Job Description :

The Nutritional Aide will register new participants, take meal reservations, order meals from caterer, receive and serve meals from the caterer, monitor food temperatures, clean up, interface with residents, oversee volunteer aides, inventory and order supplies as necessary, count and deposit donated funds in accordance with the Montgomery County Senior Nutrition Program guidelines, maintain and submit documentation in accordance with County guidelines. Candidate will undergo training and participate in quarterly meetings with the Montgomery County's Senior Nutrition Program.

Responsibilities :

• Assisting Participants : Explains the program to new participants; Helps participants complete the Participant Registration Forms; Acquaints participants with other participants; and Informs participates about site policies and procedures
• Site / Administrative Duties :

Is available at the site before, during and after the meal; Oversees the activities of volunteers.
