SUMMARY

Responsibility for machining, fitting, assembling, and finishing to make and repair molds.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Benching & spotting of aluminum and steel prototype & production molds
  • Ability to disassemble and reassemble molds with minimal supervision
  • Assemble molds in accordance with tool designs and accepted procedures.
  • Build and / or repair injection molds in accordance with mold designs and accepted procedures.
  • Perform quality checks as required by our standards and procedures.
  • Make changes as necessary to the tool.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and modifications on injection molds.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be experienced in Blueprint reading, interpretation, and GD&T
  • Ability to perform calculations and conduct moderate analysis

    • EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

    A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum 2 years of experience utilizing bridgeports, lathes, radial drills, surface grinders, etc. Experience using hand tools is preferred.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work requires walking, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping, crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
