Job Title : Benefits & Leave Administrator (100% Onsite – Temporary Assignment)

Location : Tukwila, WA

Employment Type : Full-Time, Onsite, Temporary

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Benefits & Leave Administrator for a temporary, onsite assignment supporting a public-sector organization in Tukwila, Washington. This role is highly specialized and requires 4–6 years of experience directly communicating with employees and supervisors regarding protected leave programs and on-the-job injuries. The primary focus of this assignment is managing the full protected leave cycle—from intake and eligibility review through approval, tracking, and return-to-work coordination—as well as facilitating on-the-job injury claims and any related leaves.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage the complete protected leave process (FMLA, PFML, ADA, and other applicable programs), including reviewing requests, determining eligibility, approving / denying leave, and issuing required notices.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employees and supervisors regarding leave status, timelines, documentation requirements, and return-to-work expectations.
  • Coordinate and process on-the-job injury claims, ensuring timely communication, accurate documentation, and alignment with leave and light-duty / work restrictions.
  • Maintain detailed, compliant records of all leave cases, injury claims, and supporting documentation.
  • Track leave usage, extensions, and expirations; communicate proactively with all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with payroll, HR, and supervisors to ensure accurate coding, pay impacts, and compliance.
  • Stay current on Washington State and federal regulations related to protected leave and workplace injuries.

Qualifications :

  • 4–6 years of hands-on experience directly administering protected leave programs and communicating with employees and supervisors about leave and injury claims (required).
  • Strong knowledge of FMLA, PFML, ADA, light duty / RTW processes, and Washington State workers’ compensation.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to provide clear, empathetic, and timely guidance.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a high volume of cases.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be a current Washington State resident and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • 100% onsite availability in Tukwila, WA.
