At Willow Creek Community Church, we are looking for a Campus Worship Pastor for our Wheaton location to help us build a Christ-centered culture and a dynamic worship experience that truly glorifies God.

Your Mission

In this role, you aren't just leading songs; you are leading people. In collaboration with our Central Arts & Worship team, you will plan and execute weekend services that move ideas into transformative experiences. Since Wheaton operates in a portable church context at Wheaton Academy in West Chicago, IL, you'll also play a vital role in the weekly setup and teardown of our campus.

What You'll Do

• Lead the Room: Serve as the primary worship leader, providing powerful pastoral moments for our congregation during weekend services.
• Build the Team: Spend your time actively recruiting, training, and discipling our talented volunteers-from vocalists to full bands.
• Develop Future Leaders: Partner with our youth ministries (Junior High and High School) to mentor and develop the next generation of worship leaders.
• Collaborate: Work alongside the Campus Pastor, Production Manager, and Central teams to ensure the vision and strategy of Willow Creek are executed with excellence.
• Portable Ministry: Assist with the weekly setup and teardown (approximately two hours each Sunday) to make church happen.
• Pastoral Care: Provide vital pastoral care and support to volunteers and congregants.

• Salary Range: $50,000 - $68,000 (depending on experience and skill set).

The Logistics

• Status: Permanent, Full Time
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday
• Physical Requirements: This role includes standing for long periods, extensive walking, bending, and carrying up to 25 lbs

Who You Are

• Experienced Leader: You are a proficient worship leader and strong vocalist with a track record of leading volunteers.
• Tech-Savvy: You have a working knowledge of tools like Playback and Planning Center, with the ability to build and organize tracks.
• Humble Spirit: Willing to step in and do whatever is needed, no task is "beneath you"
• Growth-Oriented: You possess a "hero-making" mindset and a desire to see others flourish in their spiritual gifts.
• Spiritual Maturity: You carry spiritual gifts in areas such as Leadership, Shepherding, Administration, and Creative Communication.

Salary Description

$50,000 - $68,000 yearly
